There’s a place in downtown Asheville called The Thirsty Monk. I was initially impressed the number of beers they had on tap. I’m pretty much a beer connoisseur. I love trying new beers, especially imports and microbrews. But I also love a good case of yellow domestic, like Coors Light or Bud Light… but they’re best in cans; that’s part of the anti-charm of yellow domestics.

My man Tom, who generally prefers a good Rum & Coke (Sailor Jerry), also enjoys yellow domestic beer. He’s not a huge fan of snob beer, but I’ll hand it to him, he does try them out. I must say that his feedback on unique beers is never what I expected him to say (i.e nice, spring-day hefeweizen tastes burnt to him… weird).
