Some wanna be homemaker rager just learned that there’s a difference between home fries and hash browns. Someone else didn’t know there was a difference.
In general home fries are chunks or cubes of potato, while hash browns are usually shredded potato. They’re cooked pretty much the same way, depending on who makes them.

Maybe I should’ve said ‘up and coming homemaker’…

Damn, man, not all of us spent our youth in diners!
I’ll never make the spud mistake again.
Re this “wanna be homemaker” moniker…do I secretly harbor some desire to stay home and master flower arranging? Am I really a doll-tissue-cover-seamstress in the making? Hmm. And I thought all these years I was going for “athletic, urban goddess who moved to the country for some unknown reason.” Now I find there is a reason! It’s because I want to stay home and master the various forms of breakfast potatoes!
Thanks, Steve, for helping me find my way….

No problem!
I actually love potatoes with breakfast! to me they’re a staple, even though I rarely even eat breakfast!
I know the difference from my youth years as a cook; I worked in the diners while everyone else frequented them, having great times!
