A building in Downtown Asheville is being converted into a workspace for those who generally work at home or in coffee shops. The company, Locomotivity, opens its doors today, and it offers several member tiers: partner, full-time, part-time, and daily.
One of the most beneficial points of this company, that I see, is that it gives us homebodies and freelancers a place to work while still interacting with colleagues. I used to have an office Downtown, but have since moved back to working at home. I do miss social interaction, and it’s a human need that isn’t easily achieved while working at home. In fact, it’s probably the #1 worst aspect of working at home.
Read more about it in the Asheville Citizen Times.
Best wishes to Locomotivity, and hopefully soon enough I’ll join in the fun.

Holy shit! Duuuude…. Thanks for posting this! I now have a great idea that I can move forward with in my town, and one that HASN’T even been mentioned around here!
I’m sure I’ll get heckled by Starbucks, but fuck ‘em!

Yeah, it’s a great idea! I really hope it holds strong for these guys, they’re a good group.
I still have yet to take a look at it, but Apollo told me he wants to check it out!
