A study about Ohio students who use facebook apparently average a lower GPA. Of course, the study was only performed at one Ohio school and performed on only 219 students.
The study claims that students who use facebook regularly get B’s, while students that don’t use facebook get A’s.
My take? Well, students who don’t study aren’t going to study any more, regardless of which distraction they choose. I’m sure these same students have plenty of additional options with which to waste their time. Don’t blame facebook, blame a lack of interest in studying.
