Yeah, it's fun the first time. Then it's a bus ride, no biggie, unless you've got a window seat.

I want to fly it manually, too. "Where we're going, we don't need roads."

Yea, I'm afraid that if it were solely automated... Then it would get pretty boring... Much like flying in an airplane. I mean, it's tons of fun the first time around... but after you've done it a lot, then it gets to be boring and monotonous.

I would want the ability to manually fly the thing so that I could get the rush of actually flying myself rather than being flown.

I'm sure the air regulations would be awful! I would think that cars would only be allowed beneath a low ceiling, reserve the higher space for real aircraft.

Another solution is to automate these things, you know? Let computers run the routes, just sit back and relax, within metro areas.

It would still be cool to manually override the computer though, like if you're out in the desert and just wanna fly around on your own.

I agree, DeLoreans kick ass...

However, I have always wanted to know just how they intend on making these a mainstream item? I mean, think about the amount of rules and regulations there are in regards to airspace and air traffic control and so forth...

If your average Joe Schmoe had a flying car and got stuck in traffic... What's he gonna do? Can he just "up, up, and away", or would he have to call someone to get permission to take off?

Then if there are thousands of them in a large metropolitan area, how cluttered would the skies become then?
