I have a hard time understanding why there isn't a meme surrounding this plague on society. I may have overstated a little there, but I really do think that one question mark is enough, any others should only be used ironically or if you want to emphasize the question, but not in every email.

Example: did you find your slippers?????? <-okay if my slippers are made of rubies and will transport me back from Oz, not okay if my cat probably took them or they might be under the couch.

Example: i thought that was tina's job??? <- okay if it is something like, close up the patient after surgery and tina forgot and now the guy is dropping pieces of sandwich directly into his stomach, not okay if it is a matter of picking up some water or booking a hotel room, especially if either of those things could still be accomplished by anyone.

@Justin:

Actually ending a sentence with three periods is most generally used when you're writing a sentence that leaves off somewhere. It's normally meant to tell the reader that the following sentence should be looked at as a sort of "extension" of the previous.

Food fer thought.

I completely agree. I also hate when people end their sentences with multiple periods... Like they confused about something.. Or maybe their not happy about what you just said....
