Site Relaunch: Beer is My Poison

Last year, I launched a temporary site for my beer blog: Beer is My Poison. I just relaunched it with a new theme and all new articles. The previous stuff was mostly filler content and was far off from the direction I wanted the site to go.

Jager bombs: IPA/red-bull substitutions don’t work!

So we’re just hanging out, and we have the idea to take a few jager bombs. But we had no red bull. “Oh well,” we said. Then my genius self had the idea to substitute Coors Light for the Red Bull. How bad could it be? It’ll probably just be a little bland, couldn’t be [...]

Coming soon, a free beer-related WordPress theme

Budweiser American Ale: a review of the new beer and my first impressions

Well I’ve been seeing commercials for Budweiser’s new American Ale for a week or two now, and I’ve been wanting to try it. I’m not a big fan of regular Bud Heavy or Bud Light, although I will drink cans and cans of Bud Light if they’re around. Bud Light in cans fits into a [...]

Is Bud still an American Beer?

Now, I am a beer snob. But I do enjoy a hefty amount of canned Bud-Light, especially when playing some music with the guys. Bud-Light is–as my dad referred to it–utility beer. But it looks like Anheuser has been sold to a Belgian company, InBev. So is my utility beer still a staple of the [...]
