Don’t put batteries next to CDs or DVDs

I didn’t really think about this until it was too late! I have a guitar case, and in it I kept a few extra 9-volt batteries for the acoustic guitar pickup. Well, at a recording session the other night, I threw some CDRs in the case. They weren’t touching the batteries; there were probably a few strings, picks, and some papers in between the CDs and the 9-volts.

Google Adsense dashbaord widget for Apple/Mac

Here’s a nice one for ya. It’s an apple/mac dashboard widget that will check your Google Adsense earnings. Simply install the widget, enter your login criteria, and slam. You’re golden!

I’ve been using this guy for a few months, and it works great! It actually pulls the data from Google’s API directly or from another source, as I often notice that it’s a bit quicker to update than Google’s Adsense interface.

Here’s a link to download the widget over on Apple Downloads.

Bookeeper vs. Bookkeeper: Correct version of the word

I created a website for a client a few years back. There’s a staff page on the site, which lists staff members and their positions. In this list is a bookkeeper. I remember when I created the site, I wasn’t sure which one was the correct spelling: bookeeper or bookkeeper. My initial reaction was the latter, with two Ks.
