    Google improves image search functionality

Google Image Search has always been an invaluable tool for any web user. Often we’ll use it to find a pic of some actor, you know, those situations where you can’t remember the face exactly, or you’re trying to confirm that it’s in fact the same person.

AT&T makes 3G twice as fast, but it’s not even available here

What great news! AT&T decided to double their 3G speed, putting it over 7 Mbps for 3G users. That’s cool, but we don’t even have 3G available where I live and work, in Western North Carolina. Thanks, AT&T.

    No more Madden?

Aww man, John Madden retired from calling football games! That sucks! They’ve been calling games for so long, that just hearing their voices over the game brings me back [...]

    My two favorite flying videos

These are the greatest! These wingsuit guys are insane! I’d love to try it, but I don’t think I have the eggs to jump to my eminent death! Maybe I’ll try skydiving first, about a mazillion times, then maybe I’ll have the guts to sail through the air like these fellows.

    Google doesn’t like IE6, either!

Google released a nice little script that warns users that IE6 is way out of date. Just include a chunk of javascript, and Google takes care of the rest. If we all adopted this route, then the Google’s warning screen would become standard, more trusted, and would probably do much better than all of us [...]

    Facebook makes you stupid

A study about Ohio students who use facebook apparently average a lower GPA. Of course, the study was only performed at one Ohio school and performed on only 219 students.

    Extreme sports! Ironing?

Check out the hottest new extreme sport: Extreme Ironing! Contestants take an ironing board to remote locations and iron clothing! This could be on the trail, skydiving, underwater, wherever! Extreme ironing takes extreme sports to the next level, by combining the danger and thrills of outdoor activities with the “satisfaction of a well-pressed shirt.”

Jager bombs: IPA/red-bull substitutions don’t work!

So we’re just hanging out, and we have the idea to take a few jager bombs. But we had no red bull. “Oh well,” we said. Then my genius self had the idea to substitute Coors Light for the Red Bull. How bad could it be? It’ll probably just be a little bland, couldn’t be [...]

Finally got rid of that old theme

Well, I’ve finally gotten rid of that old theme I’d been using. I’d been meaning to replace it for far too long. This current one is probably not permanent either, but at least it’s better to use than the old one! There are probably a few bugs and quirks hanging around, but I’ll take care [...]
